Basswood Research (R) TN-03 Poll conducted 7/12 of 300 Republican LVs:
Fmr. TN GOP Chair Robin Smith 34%
Attorney Chuck Fleischmann 13%
Bradley County Sheriff Tim Gobble 11%
Real Estate Developer Tommy Crangle 4%
Businessman Van Irion 3%
Attorney Art Rhodes 1%
Caveat: this poll was commissioned by the Club for Growth, which has endorsed Smith. These candidates are running for this heavily Republican seat based in Chattanooga, which Rep. Zach Wamp (R) is vacating to run for Governor. In the article, Smith and Fleischmann go back and forth on whether or not these poll results are accurate, with Fleischmann saying his internals show it much closer. I suppose we'll find out for sure on August 5th, when the state has its Primary (it's on a Thursday for some reason).
