OnMessage (R) TX-23: Close Race

OnMessage (R) TX-23 Poll conducted 5/11-5/13 of 550 LVs:

Rep. Ciro Rodriguez (D) 48%
Businessman Quico Canseco (R) 45%

Caveat: this poll was taken for Canseco's campaign.  This is the one district that's in different hands than when the lines were redrawn in 2004, as Rodriguez picked up this seat for the Democrats in 2006.  This district is 65% Hispanic, so the Republicans feel like Canseco, who is Hispanic and can self-fund, has a real shot to knock off Rodriguez.  The climate could benefit Canseco here, as according to the poll both Obama and Pelosi are viewed negatively, and the Republicans lead the generic ballot by 5 points.
