Rasmussen Kentucky Poll conducted 2/2 of 500 LVs:
Secretary Of State Trey Grayson (R) 49%
Lt. Gov. Dan Mongirado (D) 35%
Secretary Of State Trey Grayson (R) 44%
Attorney General Jack Conway (D) 40%
Physician Rand Paul (R) 48%
Lt. Gov. Dan Mongirado (D) 37%
Physician Rand Paul (R) 47%
Attorney General Jack Conway (D) 39%
Still 4 very possible combinations that we could see here, but all of them favor the Repubicans to various degrees. It's pretty clear at this point that Conway would be the stronger Democratic candidate, his fundraising has been better, he polls better against the Republicans, and his net favorability rating (+15) is better than Mongiardo's (+2). The Republican side isn't nearly as clear though, as Paul polls better against one opponent while Grayson does better against the other; Grayson's 61%/18% favorable rating is better than Paul's 54%/26%. The national climate clearly favors the GOP in the Bluegrass State, as Obama has just a 42% approval rating here.
SIGNIFICANT ADVANTAGE FOR THE REPUBLICANS.
