Rasmussen Missouri Poll conducted 12/15 of 500 LVs:
Secretary Of State Robin Carnahan (D) 46%
Rep. Roy Blunt (R) 44%
If there's one close race that goes against the Republicans next year, this could be the one. Blunt continues to run even or just slightly behind Carnahan in all of the public polls, and even those belie the fundamental problems he'll face in this race. The two have nearly identical favorable ratings, with Carnahan at 51%/43% and Blunt at 50%/43%. Ultimately in this race, Blunt, the former House Majority Whip, will be closely associated with his son, former Governor Matt Blunt, and former President Bush. He will need to make the case that he's part of the soultion and not part of the problem, which won't be easy given those associations.
SLIGHT ADVANTAGE FOR CARNAHAN.
