Monmouth University New Jersey Poll conducted 10/28-10/30 of 1041 LVs, pdf here:
Fmr. US Attorney Chris Christie (R) 43%
Gov. Jon Corzine (D) 42%
Fmr. NJ EPA Director Chris Daggett (I) 8%
The big mover since the last Monmouth poll here is Daggett, but it's in the wrong direction, as he's fallen from 14% to 8%. Christie leads 86%-6% among Republicans and leads 51%-29% among Independents, both strong numbers, but he only gets 11% of Democrats, who after early waffling are generally getting behind Corzine. Still 5% of voters, including 6% of Independents, say they are undecided, and which way they fall makes all the difference. But here's a clue: among voters who are undecided, Corzine has a -11 net favorable rating, while Christie is at +3.
SLIGHT ADVANTAGE FOR CHRISTIE.
