SUSA FL-13: Buchanan Comfortably Ahead

Rep. Vern Buchanan (R) 49%
Banker Christine Jennings (D) 33%

Early on, the expectation was that we would have another close contest in this district like we did two years ago, when Buchanan beat Jennings by less than 400 votes. But the rematch doesn't look nearly as interesting, as two nonpartisan polls in the last week now have given Buchanan a double-digit lead. 19% of Democrats back Buchanan, who also leads Jennings 43%-25% among Independent voters.
