Benenson Strategy Group (D) NY-29 Poll conducted of 403 LVs:
2006 Nominee Eric Massa (D) 47%
Rep. Randy Kuhl (R) 42%
Caveat: this poll was conducted for Massa's campaign. This upstate district is the most Republican in New York (56%-42% Bush in 2004), but Kuhl has many weaknesses as a candidate, and Massa nearly picked up this seat in 2006, falling short by 52%-48%. He's running again this year, and if this poll is to be believed, he has a very good shot at winning here this time around. If Massa wins, Democrats' gains this year in the House may approach the 30 they got in 2006.
SLIGHT ADVANTAGE FOR KUHL.
