Attorney Ashwin Madia (D) 44%
State Rep. Erik Paulsen (R) 39%
Caveat: this poll was conducted for Madia's campaign. This seat, which is open due to the retirment of GOP Rep. Jim Ramstad, is widely expected to be one of the closest House races in the country this year. This poll is a bit better for Madia than a SUSA out last month that showed him Paulsen with a small 3-point edge. This is a belwether race this year, and expect the 30-year old Madia, an Iraq War Vet, to be considered a major rising star for the Democrats if he can pick up this seat.
