SurveyUSA Oklahoma Poll conducted 9/5-9/7 of 652 LVs:
Sen. James Inhofe (R) 56%
State Sen. Andrew Rice (D) 34%
With Rice's strong fundraising and the fact that Inhofe can be gaffe-prone, I have considered this a possible sleeper pickup for the Democrats. I still think this one shouldn't be counted out yet, but with McCain's cottails, there shouldn't be any real concern for Inhofe at this point. Inhofe gets plenty of crossover support, winning 32% of Democrats and 30% of African-Americans. One bright spot down the line for Oklahoma Democrats: the two run even among voters age 18-34.
STRONG ADVANTAGE FOR INHOFE.
