DFM Research North Dakota Poll conducted 8/23-8/27 of 400 LVs:
Governor:
Gov. John Hoeven (R) 63%
State Sen. Tim Mathern (D) 19%
Congress:
Rep. Earl Pomeroy (D) 53%
2004 ND-AL Nominee Duane Sand (R) 27%
North Dakota may be more capable of splitting their tickets than any other state, as you can tell here. Hoeven won 71% of the vote in 2004, and is viewed favorably by 68% of likely voters. Meanwhile, since winning by only 52%-48% in 2002, Pomeroy won 60% in 2004 and 66% in 2006; this election looks like a repeat of the last couple of races.
OVERWHELMING ADVANTAGE FOR HOEVEN.
OVERWHELMING ADVANTAGE FOR POMEROY.
