DFM Research North Dakota Poll conducted 8/23-8/27 of 400 LVs:
Obama 43%
McCain 40%
Normally, North Dakota doesn't get much polling in Presidential Elections, and with good reason: it only has 3 Electoral Votes, is far removed from any major media market, and is usually very Republican. But this year, more polling wouldn't hurt, as of the few polls we have seen, Obama and McCain have been virtually neck-and-neck. Perhaps more alarming for McCain, he only has a +5 favorable rating, while Obama is sitting pretty at +19. When all is said and done, it's difficult to see North Dakota truly being in play, but the state does have two Democratic Senators and a Democratic Congressman, so the McCain campaign might not want to ignore it altogether.
SIGNIFICANT ADVANTAGE FOR McCAIN.
