SurveyUSA VA-05 Poll conducted 8/10-8/12 of 615 LVs:
Rep. Virgil Goode (R) 64%
Non-Profit Group Organizer Tom Perriello (D) 30%
A surprisingly strong result for Goode, who won 59% of the vote two years ago. Goode, a former Democrat, picks off 27% of Democrats, 32% of liberals, and even 35% of African-Americans. This race has been considered potentially competitive because of Perriello's strong fundraising, which he's yet to really use yet, but this looks like much too tall of a mountain to climb.
STRONG ADVANTAGE FOR GOODE.
