SurveyUSA Washington Poll conducted 7/13-7/15 of 666 LVs:
Gov. Christine Gregoire (D) 49%
Fmr. State Sen. Dino Rossi (R) 46%
SUSA continues to show it close in Washington, while Rasmussen has shown closer to a 10 point lead for the incumbent. Rossi carries Independents 52%-42%, no small feat for a Republican in Washington (especially this year), but his 13% of Democrats is not quite enough, especially with Democrats continuing to widen their registration advantage. Rossi carries Eastern Washington 64%-34%, a big margin even for that typically Republican area, but Western Washington is just enough for Gregoire to have the edge, as she leads there 53%-43%.
SIGNIFICANT ADVANTAGE FOR GREGOIRE.
