SUSA KY-04: Davis In Good Shape

Rep. Geoff Davis (R) 54%
Physician Michael Kelley (D) 41%

This was a competitive seat the last few times around-in 2002, Davis ran for this seat and lost 51%-48% to then-incumbent Ken Lucas (D). In 2004, when Lucas retired, Davis ran for this seat again and won a high-profile race 54%-44% over George Clooney's dad, journalist Nick Clooney. In 2006, Lucas made a comeback attempt but Davis dispatched him 52%-43%. In this mostly Republican district, Davis wasn't expected to have nearly as difficult of a time this year, so his 13 point lead is smaller than what was expected. I'll keep an eye on this race, but for now this is an OVERWHELMING ADVANTAGE FOR DAVIS.
