Rasmussen ME-SEN: Collins Up 10

Rasmussen Maine Poll conducted 7/17 of 500 LVs:

Sen. Susan Collins (R) 53%
Rep. Tom Allen (D) 43%

This continues to be a battle between two very popular politicians-65% view Collins favorably and 57% view Allen favorably. But Allen is sort of running out of room to work with-his 94% name ID just about matches him to Collins' 97%, indicating limited opportunity for him to get much closer than he is right now. Allen carries Democrats 74%-19%, which isn't great but is significantly better than it was earlier in the campaign, but Collins holds a commanding 58%-32% lead among the state's large block of Independent voters.

SIGNIFICANT ADVANTAGE FOR COLLINS.
