Public Policy Polling Ohio Poll conducted 7/17-7/20 of 1058 LVs, pdf here:
Obama 48%
McCain 40%
A solid lead for Obama in this most critical state, although he is down slightly from the 50%-39% lead PPP found for him in June. To no one's surprise, Obama carries black voters by a 91%-6% margin, but he trails by only 46%-42% among white voters, a very impressive showing. Most of Obama's support comes from voters age 18-29, with whom he leads 59%-26%. Despite Obama's weakness in Ohio in the Democratic Primary, he only loses 11% of Democrats to McCain, while leading among Independents by 42%-37%.
SLIGHT ADVANTAGE FOR OBAMA.
