NH-01: Weak Quarter From Bradley Tlits Race Towards Shea-Porter
Democrat Carol Shea-Porter may have won the biggest upset of Election Night 2006 among House races, as most pundits gave her little chance against incumbent Rep. Jeb Bradley (R). But she was part of the big Democratic wave in New Hampshire in 2006, and she unseated Bradley by a 51%-49% margin. Bradley is running for his old House seat this year, and while he has been competitive in early fundraising and polling, this was a tough quarter for him. Not only did Shea-Porter outraise him by $160K in the second quarter, but he was also outrasied by his opponent in the Republican Primary, former NH HHS Secretary John Stephen. With New Hampshire's late Congressional Primary, the eventual winner of the primary will have to ramp up the fundraising big time in the last couple of months to keep up with Shea-Porter financially. Slight Bradley►SLIGHT ADVANTAGE FOR SHEA-PORTER.
