SurveyUSA IN-09 Poll conducted 6/16-6/19 of 497 RVs:
Rep. Baron Hill (D) 51%
Former Rep. Mike Sodrel (R) 40%
This will be the fourth straight election where these two have gone head-to-head; with Hill wins in 2002 and 2006 sandwiched in between a Sodrel victory in 2004. Sodrel was helped across the finish line in 2004 by Bush's cottails (he won here 59%-40% in 2004), but if Indiana is signifcantly closer this year, then McCain's cottails might not help Sodrel enough. Sodrel attracts 78% of Republicans, while Hill wins 81% of Democrats, but Independents back Hill 48%-30%. 54% of voters in this district regularly attend church service, but Sodrel carries them by only 47%-45%.
Slight►SIGNIFICANT ADVANTAGE FOR SODREL.
