Civitas InstItute NC-SEN: Dole Widens Her Lead To 10

Civitas Institute North Carolina Poll conducted 6/11-6/13 of 600 RVs, pdf here:

Sen. Elizabeth Dole (R) 48%
State Sen. Kay Hagan (D) 38%

The combination of Dole starting to run TV ads and the bounce fading from Hagan's primary win seems to have moved this race in Dole's direction over the last month. According to Civitas, Dole has gone from a 2 point lead to a 10 point lead in a month, similar to Rasmussen showing Hagan up a point in May and down 14 in June. Dole only ties with Hagan among Independents, but she picks up 25% of Democrats. Hagan leads narrowly in the heavily Democratic Traingle and her base of the Triad, but Dole carries all other regions of the state by double digits.

SIGNIFICANT ADVANTAGE FOR DOLE.
