State House Speaker Jeff Merkley 33%
Realtor Candy Neville 6%
Construction Worker Roger Obrist 1%
Fitness Instructor Pavel Goberman 1%
Psychiatrist David Loera 1%
This is quite a bit different from what SurveyUSA had last week, when they showed Merkley taking a 5 point lead. Novick leads 41%-37% among the 74% of Oregon Democrats who have already voted (OR has vote by mail). A big Obama victory at the top of the ticket could help Novick, as some of Obama's strong demographics (younger voters, men) back Novick. The winner of the primary will take on Republican incumbent Gordon Smith.
