Throughout my posts, I will have a rating system which addresses where I believe a given race stands at the present time. For clarification, here is what each designation means:
OVERWHELMING ADVANTAGE: There is no sure thing in politics, but these races are as close as you can get. They are highly unlikely to become competitive.
STRONG ADVANTAGE: One side is clearly in command right now, but the race has a chance to become competitive at some point.
SIGNIFICANT ADVANTAGE: Someone has a fairly small but still distinct advantage at this point. While the race would be considered competitive, it is still pretty clear who would win if the election were held today.
SLIGHT ADVANTAGE: This is basically a toss-up designation, with one side perhaps holding just the smallest of leads. If you have to seriously consider who's ahead in a given race, it probably falls in this designation.
Notice I have no toss-up designation, as I'm going to try to be decisive.
